SB Energy Corp., the clean energy unit of SoftBank Group Corp., will build a 14-megawatt solar power station in Tochigi prefecture, north of Tokyo.

The plant will start operations in December 2016 and is expected to generate enough electricity for about 3,900 homes, SB Energy said in a statement Thursday. No financial terms were mentioned.

In a separate statement, the company said a 1.3-megawatt solar power station in the western prefecture of Wakayama started running.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
