Christie Says There’s Likely to Be Major Flooding in New Jersey

Governor Chris Christie said there’s likely to be major flooding in New Jersey over the next four days.

“Right now the weather reports are not encouraging,” Christie said at a press conference in Trenton on Thursday. He said he will consider ordering evacuations if necessary.

Christie, a second-term Republican running for president, said his administration is prepared for the storm. He said he is expecting 5 to 6 inches of rainfall over the next two days.

“At this point, it’s just too soon to say whether it’s going to have a direct impact,” he said.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
