Malaysia Summons China’s Ambassador to Explain Remarks

Malaysia summoned China’s ambassador Huang Huikang to seek clarification of remarks he made during a visit to a ethnic-Chinese business district in Kuala Lumpur on Sept. 25, according to a statement from the foreign ministry. Huang’s visit came after police stopped pro-government protesters trying to break through to the business district on Sept. 16.

Huang will visit the ministry on Monday, according to the statement.
