Walker’s Top N.H. Supporter Now Backs Rubio: WMUR

Cliff Hurst, former vice chairman of the state Republican Party, will become co-chair for Sen. Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign in N.H., reports WMUR.

  • “I have great admiration and respect for my friend Scott Walker,” Hurst said, referring to the Wis. governor who reportedly is ending his White House quest. “However, it is clear to me that his campaign is going in a different direction at this time”
  • Rubio senior adviser Jim Merrill praised Hurst: “It’s an honor to earn Cliff’s endorsement and for him to agree to serve as a co-chair of Marco’s campaign here in New Hampshire”
