Real Madrid, 10-time winner of the Champions League, will meet Paris Saint-Germain in the group stage of the region’s biggest club soccer tournament.
Defending champion Barcelona plays Bayer Leverkusen, Roma and BATE, the champion of Belarus. Bayern Munich, a five-time winner, is in a group with Arsenal, Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia.
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea, the English Premier League champion, will play his former club Porto, as well as Dynamo Kyiv and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
Manchester City faces Juventus, Sevilla and Borussia Moenchengladbach. Manchester United is in a group with the Netherlands’ PSV, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsburg of Germany.
The groups were determined by a draw Thursday in Monaco. Play runs from Sept. 15 to Dec. 9 with the top two teams in each advancing to the round of 16. The final is May 28 in Milan.
