United Bars Big Game Trophies as Cargo After Cecil the Lion Killed

United Airlines followed Delta Air Lines Inc. in barring shipments of big-game trophies as freight after the killing of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe.

“We felt it made sense to do so,” United spokesman Charles Hobart said Monday in a telephone interview. United’s ban covers the same animals as Delta’s: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceroses and water buffalo.
