American Zach Johnson Wins British Open in Four-Hole Playoff

Zach Johnson won the British Open after defeating Louis Oosthuizen and Marc Leishman in a four-hole playoff.

The playoff, at St. Andrews, Scotland was the first in the tournament since 2009.

Johnson, a 39-year-old American, won the Masters Tournament in 2007. Oosthuizen, a 32-year-old from South Africa, won the British Open in 2010. Leishman, a 31-year-old from Australia, has won once on the U.S. PGA Tour, at the Travelers Championship in 2012.
