Jindal: Iran Deal Will Make Enemies Stronger, Endanger IsraelHolly Rosenkrantz
If Hillary Clinton “goes along with President Obama’s efforts to appease Iran, it will make our enemies stronger, endanger our ally Israel and trigger a nuclear arms race in the Middle East that will destabilize the region,” La. Governor Bobby Jindal says in e-mailed statement.
- President Obama appeared more concerned with reaching deal “irrespective of terms,” says Jindal, who is vying for Republican presidential nomination
- Result is “a dangerous deal that has put Iran on a path to obtaining a nuclear weapon, depleted America’s military strength in the Gulf and made Israel less safe”
- NOTE: Hillary Clinton, who is running for Democratic presidential nomination, said Iran deal an “important step in putting the lid on Iran’s nuclear program,” following meeting today with House Democrats at Capitol
