South African President to Release Marikana Report at 7 p.m.

South African President Jacob Zuma will release a report by a commission convened to probe the deaths of mineworkers at Marikana at 7 p.m. Thursday.

He appointed the commission, led by retired Judge Ian Farlam, six days after 34 protesters were killed by police on Aug. 20, 2012, during a strike at Lonmin Plc’s Marikana mine in Rustenburg, west of Johannesburg.

Zuma will address the country on the state-owned broadcaster, SABC.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
