Cuomo Reaches Deal on Four-Year Extension of NYC Rent Rules

Updated on

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said he reached a deal with lawmakers to extend the regulations that limit rent increases for about 2 million New York City residents.

The four-year extension was part of a package of legislation that Cuomo, a Democrat, announced Tuesday at a news conference in Albany. The rent limits were set to expire Tuesday after they were extended by lawmakers last week.
