‘Titanic’ Score Composer James Horner Dies in Plane Crash: BBCMorwenna Coniam
James Horner, who wrote the Oscar-winning score for the movie ‘Titanic,’ has died in a plane crash at age 61, the BBC reported.
Earlier NBC News reported a single engine plane registered to Horner had crashed in Southern California, killing the pilot who had not been identified.
The crash occurred under unknown circumstances near the border of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, NBC cited a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration as saying.
Horner won two Academy Awards for music he composed for the 1997 movie, according to his Film Music page.
