U.K. Stocks Decline After 3rd Weekly Drop as EasyJet Shares SlipTrista Kelley
U.K. stocks fell to their lowest level since March, following three straight weeks of declines for the FTSE 100 Index.
EasyJet Plc fell 2.3 percent after RBC Capital Markets downgraded the airline from outperform to underperform, the equivalent of a sell rating. British Airways owner IAG SA also declined. Barratt Developments Plc and Taylor Wimpey Plc fell after Citigroup Inc. said house-builder returns are likely to be muted.
The FTSE 100 fell 1.1 percent to 6,710.52 at the close in London, will all but four stocks retreating. The broader FTSE All-Share Index lost 1.1 percent, and Ireland’s ISEQ Index retreated 0.7 percent.
