Podemos Is Back With Spanish Restructuring Talk After Ballot Win

Pablo Iglesias, the leader of anti-austerity party Podemos, revived his plan to restructure Spain’s public debt after making big gains in Sunday’s regional elections.

Iglesias said he wants to match future payments on the country’s 1.1 trillion-euro ($1.2 trillion) debt pile to the economic cycle, echoing comments made by Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis, who has argued growth must come first.
