Kenyan Prosecutor Agrees to Charge Transport Secretary Kamau

Kenya’s state prosecutor accepted a recommendation by the country’s anti-corruption body to prosecute Transport Secretary Michael Kamau on charges of abuse of office.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions rejected the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission’s recommendation that charges be made against Labor Secretary Kazungu Kambi and ordered the closure of a case against Lands Secretary Charity Ngilu because of a lack of evidence, according to statement e-mailed from the capital, Nairobi, Thursday.
