Alberta to Present New Budget in Fall, Premier Notley Says

Alberta’s recently elected New Democratic government will present a revised budget for the western Canadian province in the fall, Premier Rachel Notley said.

The economy is “volatile” and may “struggle” this year, Notley told reporters in Calgary on Thursday, responding to a question about whether the province will be in recession this year.

The government doesn’t want to implement any policies or budget cuts that would trigger a recession, she said.
