Three Killed in Grenade Attack at Market in Burundian Capital

Three people died and 10 others were injured when a grenade was thrown into a market in the Burundian capital, Bujumbura, on Saturday, according to the charity SOS Children’s Villages.

The attacker hasn’t been identified, the organization said in an e-mailed statement on Tuesday.

At least 20 people have been killed and 420 injured in unrest in Burundi since April when President Pierre Nkurunziza was nominated by the ruling party to seek a third term in June elections, a move that opponents say will violate peace accords.
