Atlanta Falcons Fined $350,000, Forfeit Fifth-Round Pick in 2016

The Atlanta Falcons were fined $350,000 and docked a fifth-round draft pick in 2016 for using recorded crowd noise for home games during the 2013 season, the National Football League said in an e-mailed statement.

Team President Rick McKay was also suspended from the NFL’s competition committee starting Wednesday until at least June 30. The NFL said its investigation showed McKay had no knowledge of the situation, but still bears some responsibility. The team’s former director of event marketing, Roddy White, was responsible, the NFL said.
