Former American Apparel Inc. Chief Executive Officer Dov Charney, who was ousted last year from the company he founded, is seeking $40 million in damages stemming from the termination.

“We are moving forward with Mr. Charney’s employment claims,” Keith Fink, a lawyer for Charney, said in an e-mail.
