Vestas Suppling 36 Megawatts of Turbines for Rodby Fjord Project

Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s largest turbine maker, agreed to supply equipment with 36 megawatts of capacity for a project in southeastern Denmark.

The 11 3.3-megawatt turbines will be delivered in the fourth quarter to European Energy A/S for its Rodby Fjord project, Aarhus, Denmark-based Vestas said Wednesday in a statement on its website. The sale includes a 15-year service agreement. Prices weren’t disclosed.

“This project in southeastern Denmark reaffirms that wind power makes sense across the country,” Klaus Steen Mortensen, president of Vestas Northern Europe, said in the statement. “Rodby Fjord is known as a site with great wind resources.”
