Cowboys Sign McFadden as a Murray Replacement, Morning News Says

Free-agent running back Darren McFadden agreed to a two-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Morning News reported, one day after DeMarco Murray signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

McFadden still needs to pass his physical, the newspaper said, citing people familiar with the situation.

McFadden, 27, spent his first seven National Football League seasons with the Oakland Raiders, rushing for 4,247 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Murray, who led the NFL in rushing last season with 1,845 yards, signed a five-year contract with the Eagles.
