Bankers Helou, Osmansoy Leave Kuwait’s Global Investment HouseFiona MacDonald and Glen Carey
Michael Helou, head of Kuwait-based Global Investment House’s investment banking division, departed the company last year, according to a spokesman for Global.
Helou, who was at NM Rothschild & Sons Ltd. and Barclays Capital prior to joining Global in 2014, left later in the year. Raul Biancardi, who was named in September 2013 to lead the wealth and asset-management unit, also departed last year.
Orhan Osmansoy, a former chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi-based The National Investor, was hired by Global in February. 2014 to lead the so-called special situations asset-management business and was a third executive to leave.
Khaled Alsorayea was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Global Saudi in October 2014, the spokesman also said.
Global in 2012 signed formal agreements to restructure $1.7 billion of debt. The company delisted from the Kuwait Stock Exchange the following year.
