China’s National People’s Congress Opens

China’s two-year campaign against graft will deepen as the government attempts to “eradicate the breeding grounds of corruption,” Premier Li Keqiang said.

“Our tough stance on corruption is here to stay, our tolerance of corruption is zero,” Li said at the annual meeting of the National People’s Congress in Beijing on Thursday. The government “will work tirelessly to oppose formalism, bureaucratism, hedonism and extravagance.”
