Kerry Tells Gulf Allies That Iran Deal Won’t End U.S. Vigilance

Secretary of State John Kerry assured Gulf Arab allies that the U.S. will remain vigilant against Iranian efforts to destabilize the Middle East even if there’s a nuclear accord with the Islamic Republic.

“We will not take our eye off of Iran’s other destabilizing actions in places like Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and the Arabian peninsula,” Kerry said at the end of a one-day visit to Riyadh, the Saudi capital, for talks with King Salman and foreign ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council.
