Clinton Reportedly Routed E-mails Through a 'Homebrew' Server

The server was “registered under an apparent pseudonym,” Eric Hoteham, according to the Associated Press.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private e-mail service was run out of her Chappaqua, N.Y., home in an unusual arrangement that suggested a heavy emphasis on privacy, the Associated Press reported Wednesday, citing a review of Internet records.

Rather than using a commercial e-mail service from Google or Yahoo, or a federal server like most government employees, Clinton relied on the “homebrew” address, giving her “impressive control over limiting access to her message archives,” according to the report.
