Hungary Classifies Russian Nuclear Deal for 30 Years Amid Outcry

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s coalition approved a law classifying information relating to a nuclear deal with Russia for 30 years, ignoring opposition complaints that it may hide corruption.

Lawmakers approved the bill 130 to 62 on Tuesday with one abstention, according to a tally on parliament’s website. The ruling Fidesz party and its junior partner, the Christian Democrats, backed the law, which was voted against by all of the opposition parties.
