NFL Cardinals Cut Three-Time Pro Bowl Defensive Tackle Dockett

The Arizona Cardinals released three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Darnell Dockett, who was scheduled to make $6.8 million next season.

Dockett, 33, didn’t play last season due to a torn knee ligament.

“After speaking with him (Darnell) and his representatives, we decided that this move today makes the most sense for both the team and the player and allows each to keep all of its options open,” Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim said in a statement.

The Cardinals went 11-5 last season.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
