Greenberg Says AIG’s Benmosche Was Outstanding as Insurer’s CEO

Maurice “Hank” Greenberg, a former chief executive officer of American International Group Inc., said Robert Benmosche did “an outstanding job” in leading the insurer through a U.S. government bailout.

Benmosche died on Friday at age 70 at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York following treatment for lung cancer, AIG said in a statement. He was “a fighter,” Greenberg said on Bloomberg Television.
