Chicago ISM Manufacturing Index Fell to 45.8 from 59.4

The Institute for Supply Management-Chicago Inc.’s business barometer decreased to 45.8 in January from 59.4 the prior month, according to a report today. Readings greater than 50 signal growth.

The median forecast of 43 economists surveyed by Bloomberg was 58. Estimates ranged from 55 to 59.6.
