Tama Home Completes 17MW Solar Power Plant in Southwestern Japan

Tama Home Co., a Japanese house builder, completed a 17-megawatt solar power station in the southwestern prefecture of Fukuoka.

The plant, which uses solar panels supplied by Sharp Corp., started running on Feb. 1, the Tokyo-based company said in a statement today.

The station is the first solar project for Tama Home and all the power generated will be sold to Kyushu Electric Power Co. under Japan’s incentive program for renewables, according to the statement.
