Gamesa Wins 260 Megawatts of Wind Turbine Orders in India

Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA, Spain’s biggest wind-turbine maker, received two orders in India to supply 260 megawatts of its devices. No terms were given.

The turbine maker won an order from Greenko Group Plc for 80 of its systems totaling 160 megawatts, it said today in a statement. Of those, 30 will be installed in Rajasthan and the remainder in Karnataka, it said. They’re expected to start working in June. Gamesa also won an order from CLP India Pvt Ltd. to supply 50 turbines totaling 100 megawatts to a project in Chandgargh. They’re due to start working in December.
