Seahawks Score to Tie Patriots 7-7 in Super Bowl Second Quarter

The Seattle Seahawks scored a touchdown to tie the New England Patriots 7-7 during the second quarter of the Super Bowl.

Marshawn Lynch scored for the Seahawks on a three-yard run with two minutes, 16 seconds to play in the first half at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

New England opened the scoring when Brandon LaFell caught an 11-yard pass from quarterback Tom Brady for a touchdown with 9:51 left in the second quarter.

The Seahawks are seeking to become the fist team since the Patriots after the 2003 and 2004 seasons to win the Super Bowl in consecutive seasons. New England won three of its seven prior appearances in the title game.
