Miner Blames Cyber-Attack as $10 Million Goes Astray

Nautilus Minerals Inc., which plans to mine copper and gold on the seabed near Papua New Guinea, said it paid $10 million into the wrong bank account after falling victim to a cyber-attack.

The sum was a deposit intended for Marine Assets Corp., or MAC, under an agreement to charter a ship that will serve as Nautilus’s floating base.
