In January, art professor and SimCity fan Matteo Bittanti published How to Get Rid of Homeless, a yearlong collection of posts from frustrated players of the latest game in the Electronic Arts series. The commenters on EA’s forums, looking to clear their fake cities of the featureless yellow figures that represent homeless people, who can lower property values, provide an uncomfortable look at attitudes about the homeless in virtual and real life.
