SunEdison to Develop 5 Gigawatt of Wind, Solar Projects in IndiaGanesh Nagarajan
BlackRock Inc.-backed SunEdison Inc. will develop wind and solar energy projects in the south Indian state of Karnataka.

The wind projects will be SunEdison’s first in India. The company’s foray into the Indian wind market follows the November 2014 purchase of First Wind Holdings Inc. for $2.4 billion.
