Terna Energy to Complete 150 Million-Euro Wind Park by Year-EndLouise Downing
Terna Energy SA said its 150 million-euro ($177 million) wind farm in southern Greece is expected to start working by the end of the year.
The 73.2-megawatt project is being built on St. George island off the coast of southern Greece. It will produce enough power for more than 40,000 homes, Athens-based Terna Energy said today in a statement on its website.
The project is the first onshore wind park with the characteristics of an offshore project, the statement said, noting that it will incorporate a sub-sea grid connection linking the island and mainland.
