Peyton Manning Played a Month With Torn Quadriceps, ESPN Says

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning played the last month with a torn quadriceps, ESPN reported, citing people familiar with the situation.

Manning, 38, and the Broncos were elminated from the National Football League playoffs by the Indianapolis Colts yesterday.

The five-time NFL Most Valuable Player tore the muscle on Dec. 14 in a win against the San Diego Chargers, ESPN said.
