BOJ Has More Easing Room Under Current Policy: Survey

Twenty-four of 33 economists in a Bloomberg News survey forecast the Bank of Japan will be able to expand easing under the current policy framework, with the second meeting in October the most popular estimate for an expansion of stimulus.

Five economists forecast that there will be no expansion, down from eight last month. None of the people surveyed forecast any change to policy at the meeting this week. Following are the results of the most recent survey, conducted Dec. 11-16.
