New Mortgage Insurer Rules Pushed to 2015, Industry Group Says

New federal regulations for home-loan guarantors have been delayed until late in the first quarter of 2015, according to U.S. Mortgage Insurers, an industry group.

The Federal Housing Finance Agency had said it would issue the private mortgage insurer eligibility requirements by the end of this year, USMI said today in an e-mailed statement. USMI represents companies including Radian Group Inc., MGIC Investment Corp. and Essent Group Ltd.
