The number of flights delayed or canceled in the U.S. shrank as snowfall eased across the East Coast, providing relief to Thanksgiving passengers on one of the year’s busiest travel days.

Airlines canceled 67 flights within, into or out of the U.S. by 10 a.m. New York time today, compared with 750 yesterday, according to FlightAware, an online tracker. A total of 549 were delayed today, versus 4,814 yesterday. A Federal Aviation Administration website indicated delays today at major U.S. airports of 15 minutes or less.
