Natural Gas Drops on Outlook for U.S. Thaw After Polar Blast

Natural gas futures slipped from a five-month high in New York on forecasts for warmer weather that would limit heating demand after this week’s arctic blast.

Temperatures may be mostly normal in the central U.S. from Dec. 1 through Dec. 5, according to WSI Corp. in Andover, Massachusetts. Gas stockpiles were 6.4 percent below the five-year average as of Nov. 14, down from a record 55 percent at the end of March.
