Sylvia Mathews Burwell, secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, said Sunday that at least 100,000 people had submitted applications for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act since the second round of open enrollment began this weekend.
“I think the vast majority of people coming to the site were able to get on and do what they were intending to do,” Burwell told Chuck Todd in an interview on NBC’s "Meet the Press," noting that a total of 500,000 people had logged onto HealthCare.gov on Saturday.
