Six-Time Champion Roger Federer Qualifies For ATP Semi-Finals

Six-time champion Roger Federer of Switzerland has qualified for the last four of the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Federer advanced to the semi-finals after Kei Nishikori of Japan dropped the first set against David Ferrer.

The Spaniard replaced Canada’s Milos Raonic, who earlier in the day withdrew from the event between the top eight players at London’s O2 arena with a thigh injury.

The event is played in a round-robin format with the top two players in the group moving to the semi-finals. Federer, who leads his group, plays Britain’s Andy Murray later in the day.
