Verifone Systems Inc. Chief Executive Officer Paul Galant said he’s spent his first year at the helm streamlining operations at the maker of credit-card readers, which had previously expanded through acquisitions.
“I came to Verifone at a difficult time,” said Galant, who was named CEO in September 2013. “The company had lost its way. There was a disconnect between what our clients needed from us and what we offered,” he said in an interview at the Money20/20 conference in Las Vegas.
