Odebrecht Angola Unit to Build $268.2m Water System: Jornal Says

Odebrecht’s Angola unit is to build the $268.2 million Benguela Water Supply System, the state-owned Jornal de Angola reports, citing an order by President Jose Eduardo dos Santos.

The system will supply potable water to the cities of Lobito, Catumbela and Baia Farta.

The company’s business portfolio is valued at more than $5 billion and it has already invested $1 billion in Angolan real estate, mainly in the cities of Luanda and Lobito.

It employs 24,000 Angolans nationwide.
