Calgon Carbon Wins Contract for Potable Water Plant in Seoul

Calgon Carbon Corp., whose products help purify water and clean air pollutants, was awarded a contract to supply granular activated carbon to a plant that provides potable water to 1 million people in Seoul.

The Pittsburgh-based company said the order from Samsung C&T Corp., which helped build Dubai’s tallest building, will go into newly constructed carbon filters at the Dduk-Do municipal drinking water plant to remove taste and odor from the source water. Terms of the contract weren’t disclosed.
