Goldman Sachs Says Australia Rates-Trading Head Corbett Has Left

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. confirmed that the head of Australian dollar rates trading Chris Corbett has left the company.

Corbett departed this week, Hayley Morris, the investment bank’s Sydney-based spokeswoman, said today by telephone. Two calls to Corbett’s mobile phone were unanswered.

Corbett joined Goldman Sachs in November 2012 in Hong Kong and relocated to Sydney in July last year. His move was part of the New York-based company’s plan to expand its team in Sydney and create a hub for trading local-currency assets. The bank also transferred its Australian credit derivatives business and bonds and swaps trading.
