No G-20 Statement After Washington Meeting, Canada Says

Group of 20 officials won’t publish a statement after their meetings in Washington this week, a senior Canadian finance department official said.

Policy makers issued a communique after their meeting in Cairns, Australia last month, the official said today at a briefing in Ottawa. The official, who isn’t authorized to be quoted, spoke on condition of anonymity.

There will a discussion of foreign exchange rates, as is customary at G-20 meetings, and a focus on boosting infrastructure projects, the official said.
