Dutch warplanes carried out their first strikes against Islamic State forces in Iraq today, the Ministry of Defense said.
F-16 fighters dropped three bombs on armored vehicles that were firing at Kurdish Peshmerga fighters in the northern part of the country, the ministry said in a statement today. Two planes attacked and destroyed the vehicles, possibly killing the militants in them, it said.
