Aqua America Buys Texas H2O Water, Wastewater Assets to Expand

Aqua America Inc., the second-largest publicly traded water company in the U.S., has acquired the family-owned utility Texas H2O to expand in the state.

The Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania-based company said the purchase of the nine water and wastewater systems for $2.8 million by its Aqua Texas unit that serves 180,000 people in the state raises its number of regulated acquisitions to 11 this year.
