South Africa’s Zuma Negotiated Russian Nuclear Deal, M&G Says

South African President Jacob Zuma personally negotiated a nuclear deal with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, the Mail and Guardian newspaper reported, citing senior officials from the government and the ruling African National Congress, who it didn’t identify.

Zuma decided on details of the agreement on the sidelines of a summit between Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa in July, the Johannesburg-based newspaper said. The deal was completed during a trip to Moscow last month, it said.
